It's time to put
an end to racism in America. It's time to stop judging people by
their skin color. It's time to put an end to discrimination wherever
it rears it's ugly head. Yes, it's time to put the NAACP out of business.
"Whoa, hold on there just a minute Witt, that's Crazy Talk." Hey,
welcome to my little corner of the world.
Before I get started, let
me set a few ground rules:
1. I am not a white supremacist.
I believe these kooks are way out of step with modern thought.
2. I always check my facts. While there
will be some personal opinion included, everything I write is truthful.
3. I abhor racism.
There was a time when the National
Association for the Advancement of Colored People had real merit.
There was a time when it was concerned with fighting discrimination, and
the numerous ways blacks had been held back in American society.
It was a worthy cause for everyone, black and white to support.
But that was your father's
NAACP. Today's group is primarily concerned not with righting any
wrongs...quite the contrary. The focus of this august group now is
to grab anything available, and to make available anything else worth grabbing.
That's not the worst of
it though. The most troubling concept fostered by the association
is institutionalized racism. It is now considered ok for anyone to
speak out against while males, simply because of their race. An example
was quoted in April 9th's Charlotte
Observer. At an NAACP sponsored candidate forum, one of the candidates
for North Carolina Agriculture commissioner, Meg Scott Phipps, made this
telling statement:
"The white male is hopefully
on the way out." She later apologized, but by then the awful truth
had already escaped from her racially-charged lips. This is a concept
that is being taught in Black Studies classes and special study programs,
in Minority publications, on Black Entertainment Television, Black only
websites: SoulMall,
BlackVoices,
EverthingBlack.com
and on and on. It's a dogma that paints any white person who dares to speak
out with the dreaded "racist label."
Thanks to these fine organizations,
there is now a certain mentality that says it's ok to make exceptions if
a person is black. It's ok to discriminate as long as it's against white
people, after all, they've got it made. They weren't ever slaves.
Well, I've got news for
them: Neither were they. Their ancestors unfortunately were
enslaved, and mistreated. This legacy has endured for much too long.
But there are no slaves owned in America today, and there are no white
massahs. I don't own slaves, and neither did my father or his father.
For those who reason minorities
are owed something special, I say, "you've already got it. You're
an American." Go to any other nation on earth. Do the blacks there
live in exclusive neighborhoods, drive expensive cars, graduate from Universities
with advanced degrees? Do they have full rights of citizenship, including
the freedom to speak out as they do here?
It's time to put an end
to racism, against blacks, and yes, even against whites.
