"L.-O."
Folks!
Well, the campain[sic] is in full swing.
We even got
Benny Goodman to write us a song.
Kissin'hands&shakin'babies is all
the rage these days.
My opponent, The Devil, is depending on
his good ol'
boy buddies to make sure the status quo
is not upset.
The plantation mentality is alive and
well in his
camp.
It's not that they're bad folks they just
know what's
best for you. And, if you don't
realize that, it just
proves how stupid you really are.
You might think
it's your money that you earn but, dammit,
you just
keep spendin' it on the wrong things,
like your
family.
I was asked what I was going to give the
citizens when
I was elected. "Liberty", was my
response. "But, we
already have that", I was told.
The light you see is
not the torch of Liberty but merely the
glint off the
gilt on the cage. I was then accused
of being a
"slave to my ideology". I'd rather
be a slave to my
ideology than a slave to someone else's.
SMART GUNS
Maryland has passed some of the most restrictive
gun
laws in the US. They want "smart
gun" technology.
Imagine that, they now want inanimate
objects to
possess an IQ. Good luck.
NEWS FLASH
National guard units seeking to confiscate
a cache of
recently banned assault weapons were ambushed
by
elements of a paramilitary extremist faction.
Military and law enforcement sources estimate
that 72
were killed and more than 200 injured
before
government forces were forced to withdraw.
The Governor of Massachusetts declared
that the
extemist faction, which was made up of
local citizens,
has links to the radical right-wing tax
protest
movement.
The governor also issued an executive order
authorizing the arrest of any individual
that
interfered with the government's efforts
to secure law
and order.
A government official, speaking on condition
of
anonymity, pointed out "none of these
people would
have been killed had these extremists
obeyed the law
and turned over their weapons voluntarily."
After being tipped off as to the government's
planned
confiscation, a group confronted the the
forces of
National Guard Colonel Frank Smith in
a town park.
The extemists were ordered to surrender
their weapns
and return home. A single shot,
reportedly fired by
one of the right-wing extremists, broke
the impasse
and eight civilians were killed in the
ensuing
exchange. Ironically, the local
citizenry are blaming
the government forces for the deaths.
Before order could be restored another
group of
extremist supporters arrived forcing a
government
retreat.
The governor has called upon citizens to
support the
state/national joint task force in its
effort to
restore law and order. He has also
issued arrest
warrants for the the leaders of the radical
tax
movement that reamin at-large. They
are: Samuel
Adams, John Hancock and Paul Revere.
