Did I Wake You?
So I pull up in New Haven
Conn. for my daughter's wedding, not knowing the place would be buzzing
with the Pilot Pen tennis tournament. I thought that at the end of
the wedding I would try to find where Venus Williams or Amanda Coezter
was staying. You know drum up conversation and see what pursues.
I guess the world is not
safe from (single crazy ass not afraid to talk to any doll babe that’s
legal or under 60 if she’s got special something) older gentleman like
myself. It’s a good thing that I don’t have Trump's or Gates' money because
I would end up on Inside Copy or something.
My daughter is 25 and older
than Venus and Amanda and she seems to know when I’m up to no good. I’ve
never been married and have 2 daughters, and the youngest is just married
today.
This is not the first time
that "she is young enough to be your daughter" has come up but don’t forget
the important thing is she’s not my daughter. Hell, they are all somebody’s
daughters.
Not that I have anything
against older women. Some of them can even stay awake during a full-length
movie. You ever go to sleep on your date? Depending on where you live in
the country has a lot to do with what fun you can have on a date.
I’m in Charlotte NC, can’t get too mad at dates going to sleep can
I. Sure I can.
Older people shouldn’t require
more sleep. So when women date younger men, that says what about them?
Oh, maybe that they can stay awake at a full-length movie, so does youth
keep you young? I think that maybe we don’t know what keeps you young or
old or whatever.
So what if I was lucky enough
to get on a date with one of tennis’
elite, would I not try to
be all she thinks is required? How else are you gonna get to "who’s your
daa-dy". Would you? If you don’t try to knock the bottom out, soft emotional
however you want it baby and you wouldn’t?
So when the gleam in my eye
appeared when I drove by New Haven University, my daughter said "I’m getting
married don’t even think about it." I did remind her that she
was getting married not me, and she’s my daughter not my wife.
She was silent for about
5 seconds and asked if she had any more brothers or sisters that she didn’t
know about. Laughing I told her that she didn’t. She’s a medic in the Army
and not easily rattled and was not to sure if I am telling the truth even
though she's holding my arm working me with those eyes "I believe you dad".
The apple don’t fall all
that far from the tree y’know. |
